About The Lab Tests

Gi Map

At Vivena Whole Health, we use the Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus (GI-MAP) to gain comprehensive, clinically relevant insight into gut health and uncover root causes of chronic symptoms.

This at-home stool test is a cornerstone of functional medicine, allowing us to move beyond symptom management and develop targeted, personalized protocols. Because the gut plays a central role in digestion, hormone balance, immune function, and overall whole body health, in-depth gut testing is foundational to the healing process.

The GI-MAP provides a detailed analysis of the gut microbiome, identifying imbalances such as pathogenic bacteria, parasites, viruses, and microbial overgrowths, while also evaluating key markers of digestion, nutrient absorption, inflammation, and immune activity, giving us the clarity needed to restore balance and support long-term, whole-body health.

Total tox

The Total Toxic Burden assessment is an advanced evaluation that looks at the overall load of environmental toxins your body is exposed to and how efficiently it is able to process and eliminate them.

Rather than focusing on a single toxin, this approach considers the cumulative impact of substances such as mold toxins, heavy metals, chemicals, and other environmental stressors that can interfere with detox pathways and contribute to symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, hormone imbalances, skin issues, and persistent inflammation.

By identifying where toxic load may be overwhelming your system, we can build a personalized protocol to support detoxification, reduce exposure, and restore balance. This allows your body to function more efficiently, improving resilience, energy, and overall wellness.

DUTCH

The DUTCH test (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones) is a comprehensive hormone assessment that offers a deeper, more nuanced understanding of both sex and adrenal hormone activity, including how these hormones are broken down and utilized by the body.

Rather than providing a simple snapshot of hormone levels, this test evaluates hormone metabolism patterns, offering valuable insight into adrenal function, reproductive health, energy regulation, detoxification pathways, oxidative stress, and potential nutrient imbalances.

Using these findings, we design individualized, root-cause–focused protocols that support hormone balance while addressing the broad physiological factors influencing long-term health and resilience.

MRT

The Mediator Release Test (MRT) is an advanced assessment that identifies food and chemical sensitivities that may be triggering inflammation and immune reactions in your body.

Unlike standard allergy tests, the MRT measures the release of inflammatory mediators from white blood cells, providing a comprehensive view of delayed immune responses that can contribute to digestive issues, fatigue, skin problems, headaches, and other chronic symptoms.

By pinpointing foods and environmental triggers that provoke inflammation, we can create a personalized elimination and reintroduction plan designed to reduce immune stress, calm inflammation, and restore overall balance to your body.

It is organized by color coding. This allows for a customized anti-inflammatory protocol.
